5th Festival of Suffolk Poetry

The 5th Festival of Suffolk Poetry will be the last Saturday in May, the 26th May 2018. The venue is the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Stowmarket, IP14 1ET.

As usual, the Poetry Cafés will provide their delights during the afternoon. They will be joined by the excellent young poets from ONE, Suffolk's Sixth Form College. Stephen Cassidy is an artist whose father, John Cassidy, was a poet published in Stand! Stephen will be discussing and presenting artworks he is developing based on his father's poems, and will be inviting Suffolk poets to add their own interpretations of John's poems in the following months.

The morning will start the day with three workshops.

Other events will be taking place in St Stephen's Hall. Among them will be workshops presented by the students.
