Patrick Lodge lives in Yorkshire and is from an Irish/Welsh heritage. A retired academic, Patrick now devotes much of his time to writing and to reviewing poetry for several magazines.

His work has been published, anthologised and translated in many countries. Patrick has been successful in poetry competitions such as the Envoi International and the Poetry Space International.

He is the winner of the 2015 Blackwater International Poetry Competition and has read by invitation, at poetry festivals in the UK, Ireland and Italy.

Currently he is writing a sequence to commemorate the first voyage of Captain Cook.

His first collection, An Anniversary of Flight, was published in 2013 by Valley Press,  which last year brought out his second collection, Shenanigans.

After Patrick's first reading there will an Open Mic session for 25 minutes before the refreshment interval.
