An interesting variety of practical poets, in from Felixstowe, Occold, Woodbridge, Wenhaston, Beccles and the places in between. Each reader brings a set of talking pictures, poems made with words drawn from life, from memory, from experience or thin air itself. How does it work ? Imagine: A wild desert track in Africa, a prayer-mat of newsprint, a traveller gets down to worship. Imagine: a mother and daughter sharing in birth and death, or a young recruit donning his new uniform, next, perhaps a clutch of brazen dragon-flies...

The 21st May 2015 marked the first anniversary of Felixstowe Café Poets. The café was instigated by Penny Cutler.
To mark their first anniversary, the café had produced an anthology of poetry entitled Awakening. Colin Whyles and Cameron Hawke Smith were invited to represent SPS and launch the anthology.
