Contributions to Ipswich Community Radio programme invited

We have received the following correspondence inviting interested members to participate in a radio programme for Ipswich Community Radio. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to promote our art in Suffolk, particularly among the student population. Anne Boileau has spoken to Douglas Coombes who welcomes us distributing this to you.

If you would like to take part to help promote poetry in Suffolk please contact Douglas directly. Obviously we would like to know if you are getting involved so that we can help promote your contribution. To let us know either e-mail Anne on chairman@suffolkpoetrysociety.org.uk or Colin Whyles on webmaster@suffolkpoetrysociety.org.uk (or simply reply to this newsletter).

Subject: Radio Programme

To Anne Boileau

Dear Anne,

My name is Douglas Coombes and from the end of September onwards I will be presenting an arts programme called Lifelines on Ipswich Community Radio. On each show I wish to introduce a local writer (published or unpublished) who will read some of their work and then talk about their readings and themselves. I particuarly want to feature poetry on the programme and would be grateful if you could distribute my details amongst your members and invite anyone who may be interested in appearing to contact me at this e-mail address or on the phone number below.

Yours faithfully,

Douglas Coombes.

Other matters:

Don't forget to look at the website now and again for the latest news on poetry in Suffolk and beyond. We have the wonderful events list provided by Kaaren Whitney.

Recently we have added a report on the Christopher Reid workshop and reading which you can see at http://suffolkpoetrysociety.org.uk/content/christopher-reid-iken-barns.
